Publisher Description

Background In recent years, there has been an increase in the amount of research associated with chiropractic utilization by the general public and specific groups. A recent descriptive review provides a comprehensive overview of chiropractic and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) use. (1) The review demonstrated that although utilization rates vary, they are generally within a range of six to twelve percent. Not surprisingly, most of those seeking care from chiropractors are suffering from low back pain versus organic or visceral conditions. (1)
