Publisher Description
This case evolves out of more than seven years of litigation between Salt Lake City Corporation (SLCC) and James Constructors, Inc. (James), which ended in settlement in 1992. Hood Corporation (Hood), Jamess parent company, appeals from the trial courts judgment. Following an evidentiary hearing, the court awarded Industrial Indemnity Company (Industrial), Jamess surety, attorney fees incurred in the protracted litigation and prejudgment interest on those fees. We affirm in part, reverse in part, and remand.
