Keeping Faith Through It All

  Kaylee was always told: God will never leave you nor forsake you. But as she threw the roses into the grave just before the dirt was pushed in, she wondered where God was when she needed him the most? She surely couldn't feel him right now. She felt alone and abandoned; like all her prayers went unheard. She didn't know how they'd ever get through losing someone so close to them and fill the void death left behind? Her heart was no longer broken, it was shattered beyond repair. It seemed every time she could get back on her feet, she'd fall into a crap-shoot and have to repeat the process of trying to claw herself out of the miry clay.

  She gave life her best, but all too often, her best fell short of being good enough. She wondered if she should just give up and walk away? But how does one walk away from the harsh reality called life? Things would never be the same but would there ever be any reprieve? Isn't there supposed to be a rainbow after every storm? Maybe if she looked hard enough she would be able to see it through the dark clouds that loomed above her head. The saying; you're either entering, in the middle of, or coming out of a storm sure rang true to her life and she sure hoped God would show up to be her Champion because she was tired of fighting. Even though her heart could never be fully mended, Kaylee was determined to find a silver lining through the gloom and doom; there had to be one somewhere. But where?

  Do Kaylee and Dillyn surpass all odds? Or do they throw in the towel and call it quits? Does she ever find the sunshine through the rain? Does she persevere and walk away with her faith in tact? Or does she give up and quit on herself, life and God?
