King David's Harp

Biblical characters frequently have extra-Scriptural lives.  Tales, legends, and traditions fill in their sketchy Biblical lifes with amazing images and narratives.  These improvizations reflect Gospel truths and help us understand the affection Christians have for these witnesses to God’s revelation.

“Martha & Mary of Bethany” tells of the ancient traditions in Provence, France, about how Martha, Mary, and Lazarus evangelized their land in the years following Pentecost.
