Language and Identity in the Iberian Peninsula

Identity has been influenced by language for millennia, and as can be seen by the current political situation in Catalonia and the now-retired Basque militant group, ETA, it is a driving force in not only identity, but also in current events all around the world. This book explores some of the languages of the Iberian Peninsula, how they evolved, how history and oppression have shaped those language, identity, and past and current political situations in the Iberian peninsula.
