Parallel Universe

The deepest economic decline since the Great Depression inches into slow recovery. But in many ways and often invisibly, this city, a nation, divides as fault lines crack open, recede for moments, then widen and grow more profound. One side rises, the other declines in a tilt board recovery. A new, deeper poverty emerges. Signs of a parallel universe appear.
