This mission is anything but routine... 

Jared McKellen and his security company handle the difficult jobs. Governments and civilians depend on his expertise as a former Green Beret for extraction and protection. Known as Mac to his friends, he'll protect his town, his country, and his woman using his Special Forces knowledge.

When Krista shows up in his town, all his protective instincts kick in. Mac thought this mission would be easy. Find the stalker, kill or maim the bastard and send Krista on her way. But this stalker doesn't fit the usual pattern, andKrista is getting under his skin. Mac loves women, settling down with just one scares him more than a bullet to the gut.

Krista Adams enjoyed her job as an accountant for a real estate firm in Dallas,until a stalker sent her running for her life to Solace, Texas.

She thought she knew what she wanted in her life, a good job, a nice man, and maybe children in the future. Meeting Mac opened Krista's eyes to a part of herself she hadn't known existed.

Mac is not a "nice" man. He is demanding and protective, not at all like the cookie-cutter men she thought she preferred. Can she depend on him to keep her safe, or will she lose her heart in the process?
