Sandra Day O’Connor High School, a public high school in Phoenix, Arizona, is a leader in thoughtful and intentional integration of technology into the classroom for the purpose of enhanced student achievement. Living by its motto, "Expect the best, get the best," school leadership, alongside innovative teachers, continue to have high expectations and results for all of its learners. This vision for excellence has resulted in a high school that now serves approximately 2,472 amazing students and the home of over 200 phenomenal staff members. Hard work and perseverance have created lasting traditions for the future as well as allowing O’Connor to be the first public high school in Arizona to go 1:1 with iPads. The 2017-2018 school year marks O’Connor’s fourth full year of its 1:1 iPad program. Guided by our current mission to empower students to Learn, Lead, and Contribute, our caring and passionate administration and staff have worked tirelessly to provide the tools necessary to commission our students to not only be academically strong, but to learn how to be self-motivated, to problem-solve, and to interface in a highly technical and ever-changing world. Integral to this process is the promotion of competencies which include critical thinking, communication, and utilization of tech-rich modalities. On a daily basis, these delivery systems are conducted by staff members, challenging their students to be their personal best.  Elements of rigor and relevance, coupled with immediate resources via the iPad, are infused in interactive lessons to develop ownership and love of learning.
