Song of the Road

Song of the Road is a collection of glimpses for many days. From Amtala to Afghanistan and from Surajkund to San Francisco. Photo journalist Dilip Banerjee has captured these images and brought them into this world in pixels. They express themselves mostly as pictures for stories, rarely as stories of the pictures. Flip through the pages to know what Twinkle Toes in Shanti Niketan and Berkeley have in common or what is the story about famed Bandit queen Phoolan Devi eating Rasogollas (Indian sweet) or the poignant picture of wailing women in Kashmir and Afghanistan wait for their loved ones.

 

Song of the Road has captured everyday moments in the course of a journey. It strings together these glimpses in a narrative recalling the moments and the places.
