Tears of the Saints

Tears of the Saints is the translation of the excommunication charging document, Lacrimis Sanctorum. The eastern orthodox Anathema trial is set in mid-1870s Kiev. The defendant is Father Konstantin Anatoli Verzhenovski. Father Konstantin’s excommunication alleges sexual transgressions violating the innocence of Princess Annalisa Kerchevskiy Gorchakov, daughter of the Russian Empire’s State Chancellor.
