The Young Man's Guide

Publisher Description

The leading purpose of this book is to aid in forming the character of young men for time and for eternity. Though not a religious work, in the proper sense of the terra, its end is to make the young better, no less than wiser. In this view, a discussion of the means of improving the mind, the manners, and the morals, as well as of the proper management of business. Something is also said of amusements, and incidentally of bad habits, personal and social. One of the closing chapters was the pioneer of a new field of popular inculcation: how useful it may have been, the public must judge for themselves.
