Macedon is not part of northern Greece. It was separate country, separate kingdom and the country in smaller size exists to this day, It’s called Macedonia. It has nothing to do with Greece. There is a place in Greece called Macedon but that was not the place where Alexander The Great was born, raised, he is from Macedonia not Greece.
