A Visitor’s Guide to Kraków

The Visitor's Guide to Krakow explores and exposes the exceptional history of the Jews of Krakow, through all of its varied accomplishments and challenges, to its tragic end. The Guide includes suggested walking tours, recommended historical and tourist attractions in Krakow and its surrounding vicinity.


The suggested walking tours highlight both Polish and Jewish sites of interest. These 1000 year old historical elements come together to reflect the urban perfection reflected in this uniquely beautiful city.


The Guide is divided into three major sections:

A) The Old City-- Polish sites, The Sukienice Market, and Jagelonian University.

B) Kazimierz-- The Jewish city with its historic synagogues, along with the Jewish cultural remnants found today.

C) The Ghetto and Plushov Concentration Camp (also highlights Oscar Schindler's factory).
