A snowstorm and a carriage accident bring together a most unlikely couple hiding their true selves from a censorious world.

 The Earl of Dart hates Christmas and when a strange young woman arrives at his hunting lodge where he avoids all the hustle and bustle of the season, he assumes she is after one thing.....matrimony.

Fleeing from London after making the worst mistake of her life, all Clarissa needs is for her carriage to turn over in the snow in the wilds of Dartmoor. The sullen man who responds to her request for aid doesn't help matters. The fact that she finds him attractive is more proof she can't trust her heart.
