Maligie Koroma was born in Sierra Leone in 1983. He att ended the AwadaPreparatory school in Bo; he went to St. Edwards Secondary school inFreetown, Sierra Leone. He graduated from high school at the age of fi ft eenand decided to be a medical doctor, but our future is never predicted. Helost his dad and suff ered from the confl icts in Sierra Leone. He is born to thelate Mr. Maligie Koroma and Rosaline Foh. His late father was a graduatefrom Birmingham and Liverpool University and his mother is a graduatefrom Northern Virginia College. He moved to Canada in 2003 and fi nishedhis last two years at Guelph collegiate Vocational school. He decided topursue business, since he was always curious about the economics of Africaand its woes. He received several awards and later pursued his studies atHumber College where he graduated with an associate degree in businessadministrati on, and certi fi cates in management, entrepreneurial studies, andbusiness studies. Seeing the untapped talents in Africa and wondering whatcould be done to help Africans, he decided to pursue a bachelor of commercedegree and specialize in human resources and internati onal business. Hehad a short career with some major organizati on in Canada and decided topursue his masters degree in corporate fi nance. He received an excellentstudent scholarship award to EDHEC Business School in Nice, France, but wasunable to complete his studies due to lack of funds. His quest was to studythe European cultures and languages and then return home to pursue hisPhD studies at the University of Toronto. He sees the University of Torontoas the Harvard University in Canada. He is a volunteer at the HomewoodHealth Center and currently working hard to dedicate his service to victi msof cancer, diabetes, and children who are suff ering from wars.
