He has just come out of a long term relationship where he purposely held back from going the whole way, waiting for the right guy and the right moment; the main reason why he believes his boyfriend finally ended it.

But that was the final straw, the kick up the ass he needed to start to relax, let go, and go out and grab a guy who could take him all the way, pop his cherry, and make a real man of him.
