In the spirit of 'Fever Pitch', 'The Full Monty' and 'Brassed Off' this is the story of the Sheffield based England Band supporting the England team since 1996 and have now 'Played for England more times than Beckham'.

There cannot be a football fan in England who hasn't heard, sung or danced along to the tunes of the England Supporter's Band before, during or after a match. They started playing for Sheffield Wednesday in 1993. John was asked by the FA, in 1996, if they would play for England and have missed only 3 friendly games, home and away. This inspirational band, aged between 10 and 80 plus, play with passion in support of their country. The band have now played for England more times than Beckham, Charlton, Moore or Shilton! The band have visited 60 plus countries each visit generating a story of passion, fun, mischief, friendship, rivalry, tight scrapes and narrow escapes (but mainly passion and fun). The passion remains and this is their story...A roller coaster ride from the terraces to releasing records, meeting celebrities, players, travelling the world and suffering the lows but really celebrating the highs that watching England brings. Nothing else matters when you're wearing the shirt and giving your all for your country. You will sweat blood to ensure an England victory. Richard Branson personally persuaded them to sign up for their first chart making record deal and the Band have since released many others plus three singles and an album for the World Cup 2010. They have made numerous TV and Radio appearances and their dream is to play for England at the World Cup Final one day.
