This book provides an overview of Public health, social medicine, international health systems and a very basic introduction to medical law. 

It is a compilation of study notes for the Czech State Examination from Public Health and Medical Law, so it does focus on European and Czech health policies; however, there is also a lot of information on a variety of different healthcare systems, their models and how they are financed, as well as chapters on international health policy and promotion; the WHO; health determinants and demography; patient rights; informed consent and medical confidentiality; the links between migration, ethnicity and health; social paediatrics and child abuse and neglect; integrated community care for the elderly; and much more.
