Too bad my previous dating history didn’t get the memo that we’d be under the gun to get things done. So here I am, 29, waking up from the preventative mastectomy that’s supposed to save my life and getting dumped at the same time.

Well, that’s just swell.

On the bright side, I’m now probably going to get to live the long full life that cancer robbed my mom and grandma of. But now I have to figure out who will want to love this scarred body that no longer feels like mine.  Before that can happen, I have a lot of healing to do. It’s a good thing that on the road to recovery, laughter is the best medicine.
