Sadie Rosen is a struggling Seattle line cook when she’s chosen to compete on her favorite cooking show. On her flight to New York, a little harmless flirting turns into a super-romantic impromptu date with a cute foodie...who turns out to be the show’s new judge. Amanda Elliot absolutely nails everything we love about dishy kitchen dramas like Top Chef. We couldn’t stop laughing at Sadie’s scheming competitors or grimacing at how men are thought of as “chefs” and women as “cooks.” One of our favorite parts of the story was Sadie’s drive to showcase the cuisine of her Jewish heritage beyond bagels and lox! That enthusiasm makes this love story feel even more exciting and real.
