Tahir Salahov - Aurora Art

Тhe works of Tahir Salakhov exemplify both the flourishing of Azerbaijani national culture and the international spirit of Soviet art as a unified, meaningful whole.
Born in Baku in 1928, Salakhov belongs to a generation which has made a strong impact on the Soviet fine arts. In the 1940s and 1950s there surfaced many young painters of various nationalities who owed much to the Russian school. They were notable for their deep analysis of the human psyche and their patriotic feeling.
