This slow-drip domestic thriller pinballs between the present and a febrile summer day in 1999 when the UK experienced a total solar eclipse. Needless to say, the creeping sense of darkness that day wasn’t limited to the sky. Chase excels at atmospheric settings and The Birdcage is no exception.
