About the author

As author and nutritionist to the UK’s fashion and celebrity set, Petronella Ravenshear combined years of clinical practise and research into her first book, The Human Being Diet and now The HBD Cookbook.

Petronella qualified in Nutritional Therapy at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition where she studied for three years. She started her private practice in London in 2004, specialising in weight management and skin and digestive disorders. She was certified as a Metabolic Balance™ coach in 2008 and in 2013 received her diploma in clinical psychoneuroimmunology (cPNI) from the Natura Foundation.

Petronella has been featured in the Times and Sunday Times, Daily Mail, Tatler, British Vogue and the Sunday and Daily Telegraph. She worked as a columnist for the Sunday Telegraph Magazine, and has written for Vogue. She is a firm believer in the wisdom of the body and that food, supplements and exercise are the only medicine we need.
