THE SERIES THAT INSPIRED HEATED RIVALRY • NOW A #1 STREAMING SHOW
Enter the world of Game Changers, the series behind the epic enemies-to-lovers hockey romance Heated Rivalry, streaming on Crave in Canada and on HBO Max in the U.S.
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Rachel Reid brings you exactly what you want—more Shane and Ilya!
To the world they are rivals, but to each other they are everything.
Ten years.
That’s how long Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have been seeing each other. How long they’ve been keeping their relationship a secret. From friends, from family…from the league. If Shane wants to stay at the top of his game, what he and Ilya share has to remain secret. He loves Ilya, but what if going public ruins everything?
Ilya is sick of secrets. Shane has gotten so good at hiding his feelings, sometimes Ilya questions if they even exist. The closeness, the intimacy, even the risk that would come with being open about their relationship…Ilya wants it all.
It’s time for them to decide what’s most important—hockey or love.
It’s time to make a call.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Two hockey players who’ve long kept their love a secret find themselves at a crossroads in this heart-wrenching romance from Rachel Reid. Ilya and Shane are both star players. To the world, they’re rivals, but to each other, they’re everything. They both treasure what they have together, but 10 years is a long time to stay in the closet, and the strain of it is beginning to show. Reid first told the story of how Ilya and Shane got together in the book Heated Rivalry, and we certainly recommend it. But she does a fantastic job here of establishing the achingly romantic bond between these two, complete with intimate conversation, private jokes, and gorgeously sweet, subtle gestures. There’s such honesty and vulnerability to these characters—especially Ilya, who’s become the fan favourite of the entire Game Changers series—that we were positively yearning to see them find their way to the happiness they deserve.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Reid's Game Changers series debuts in print with this terrific sixth romance, a sequel to Heated Rivalry. Closeted NHL rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have secretly been in a loving relationship for 10 years. The off-season is all domestic comfort and plenty of hot sex, but the season keeps them apart and the career impact being openly gay and in love would have made it tough for them to come out, especially while competing against each other. Still, hiding is taking its toll on them both. Ilya starts seeing a therapist to deal with his depression and loneliness. Meanwhile, Shane is disturbed by a series of meeting with NHL commissioner Roger Crowell, who objects to players' liberal activism. Shane and Ilya have plenty of fun on the ice—especially at an All-Star Skills Competition—but things get complicated when they're outed by a viral video right before they have to face each other in the playoffs. Reid's characters—including many familiar faces for series fans—are all charming and sexy, and she mixes humor, hockey, and positive messaging with aplomb. This is another success in a fabulous series that will have fans longing for more.
