Spiritual adviser Eckhart Tolle avoids woo-woo mysticism—during the course of this book, he reveals his own struggles with depression and an overactive mind, coming across as more of a relatable friend than some kind of guru. The Power of Now positions self-improvement as an ongoing process, not a specific goal…which is probably the healthiest way to think of it.
