A Quarter for a Kiss

It's April, spring is in the air, and private investigator Callie Webber has just spent a wonderful few weeks getting to know her employer, Tom, in a new and romantic way after years of a telephone-only relationship. But their time together is cut short when they are called to the hospital bed of mutual friend Eli Gold, who has been shot and is now in a coma.

Eli's wife begs Callie and Tom to find out who is responsible for the shooting. Their search leads them to the beautiful island of St. John in the Virgin Islands where they face sinister enemies on land and sea—ones who are willing to do anything to keep their identities secret and the past deeply buried.
