Almost Midnight

I wake up to the loud drone of heavy machinery outside the bedroom window. With limbs acting strangely and a head throbbing like a drum, I know something is wrong. There's a buzz of strength in my legs, and my right arm is insanely powerful. Weird symbols circle my vision.

My nerdy neighbor, Scott, appears out of nowhere to say I've been missing for the past six weeks. Peering out the window, I see half of the backyard has disintegrated, and the entire area behind our house has gone.

But that's not all. Scott says my mom and sister have fled the area, and if I don't hurry and leave, we'll die when our hometown explodes at midnight.

To escape death, I must listen to my neighbor and his hot cousin, Mark. Oh, and along the way, I'll need to figure out how to use the enhancements implanted in my body. That's if we can get the hell out before the entire world ends.
