This novel is inspired by a true story. It tells the story of the main character's turmoil in facing a dilemma in his friendship. On the one hand, he is pretending to have a girlfriend, but on the other hand, he also likes the most popular girl on campus. Problems come one after another. It turns out that several of his friends also have their eyes on the popular girl. This makes him feel like he has to back off from the competition. However, he later receives clues that the popular girl may like him, but he is still unsure. Another problem arises when he feels accused of being the cause of a rift between his best friend and his girlfriend, to the point that he has to clarify the situation and write about it in a special chapter. The ending is unpredictable. Although not as epic as the next two sequels (in this series), the story in this novel is quite emotionally stirring, with a touching ending.
This is the first sequel in the 'Story of the Past' series. The novel is based on a number of diary entries that had piled up on the author's desk. Initially, there was no intention to turn them into a novel; there was no specific plot or story arc planned during the writing process. Instead, the novel was developed based on a series of events recorded in the pile of diary entries, which were then expanded into a meaningful novel.
As a novice writer, I am well aware of the many shortcomings in this novel. In addition to the author's limited experience in the field of literature, this novel was not written according to the rules of plot development, but was based solely on the expansion of a few pages of diary entries.
