Ask the River

With nothing to do and too much time to do it in, DCI Thurstan Baddeley agrees to delve into the sudden death of an old man for one of his team who thinks it suspicious - a 'something or nothing' job. Meanwhile, 'normality' returns to the streets of Liverpool with the body of an accountant found hanging under a canal bridge, and the murder of a prostitute. To cap it all, and further add to the distractions, Thurstan begins to suspect he has another problem: the return of an old adversary.
