Descripción editorial

Lyla Fox knows she has a reputation at the SNAP Agency for impulsivity, but when she receives a threatening letter from a man she helped put in prison, she can't stop herself from going all in to find out why he's coming after her. Unfortunately, she's going to need the help of the one person who questions her reckless choices more than anyone else.

Explosives and weapons specialist Nicolás Garcia agrees to help Lyla in order to keep her safe, but her recklessness continues to be a major concern, especially when her investigation into a conspiracy puts a target on her back. Dealing with bombs is dangerous. Working with Lyla is proving to be just as treacherous--to both the mission and his heart.

Natalie Walters closes out her SNAP Agency series with a bang with this nail-biting story of a deadly government conspiracy, an unlikely couple, and an ending that will leave you breathless.

Amazing Page Turner Conclusion to series!

WOW! What a wonderful, thrilling, page-turner conclusion to The SNAP Agency Series! I totally loved it! Lyla and García rock!
Lyla Fox has a known reputation at the SNAP Agency for being reckless and impulsive, even if her intuitions generally prove to be true. But she finds that her coworker and good friend Nicolas García constantly questions her impulsiveness and challenges to think of the risks before acting. It’s somewhat annoying not to be trusted. But is it lack of trust or deep concern for her safety? When she receives a threatening letter from a man she helped put in jail, she’s determined to find out what his motives are. Unfortunately, she needs the help of the man who most questions her recklessness. Nicolas, or García as he is commonly called, a bombs and weapons specialist, agrees to help Lyla. It’s his way to protect her and ensure she is safe, but her rashness puts him on edge. Can he trust her not to cross the line when her life is at risk? How can he control her safety? Or must he trust God for that? Other than that, he gets a proposal for a mission in Siria outside of the SNAP Agency. Is the timing convenient so he can leave Lyla be and stop questioning her at every turn? Plus there’s his past that torments him and adds to his lack of trust in a relationship. Can he overcome it?Things get complicated as murders happen, complex intel arrives, and a possible conspiracy that might involve someone in the US smuggling weapons to other countries is suspected. Can they pursue this investigation and remain unscathed?
I had a very hard time putting this book down! It is that good! It’s very fast paced and it kept me guessing at what would happen next and if they would escape the danger uninjured. There’s suspense at every page, danger for their lives lurk every corner. The plot has twists and turns that keep you captivated. There are always things happening in the book, new information that affects the case, situations that put them in peril.
What I love most about this series is the relationship between all the members of the SNAP Agency: Tom, Jack, Brynn, Kekoa, Elinor, Garcia and Lyla. They’re like closed knitted family and I love that they always have each other backs. Plus, their different personalities, their witty banter and jokes are so fun to watch. The romance between Lyla and Garcia is swooning. I loved García’s protectiveness of Lyla. And Lyla’s willingness to go all in into every situation is admiring, because she is always willing to sacrifice her safety to ensure the safety of others. Her desire for justice and the lengths she is willing to go to ensure evil people are stopped is amazing. And I love her sassiness and the way she teases García about the healthy food he eats versus Kekoa’s love for fat foods. I loved the chemistry between Lyla and García. Even if it takes long for them to admit their deep feelings for each other, it is always there, the romantic tension.
The way everything wraps up at the end was fantastic. Ms. Walters has an amazing creativity! I loved the ending! They way Lyla finally declares her love in the middle of danger was awesome! I’m just so sad this series is over, that I have to let all these characters go. I hope the author will write more spin-off stories with them in it. All in all, an amazing and satisfying conclusion to this series! Even if it can be read as a standalone, I recommend to read the complete series, you get to know the characters really well. There are some events in this book related to the prequel Initium, that I was happy to have read. A totally must read!
I received a complimentary copy from the Publisher but wasn’t required to post a positive review. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.
