Break Me, Daddy

“You’re going to learn exactly what it means to be Daddy’s little girl.”
“You almost make that sound like a threat.”
“Not a threat. A promise. One I have every intention of keeping for the rest of my life.”

I was going to be a doctor. The greatest surgeon the world had ever seen.

Until my world comes crashing down around me. Again.

Caught in the clutches of the illness that almost took my life once before, I reach out for the only lifeline I can.

Daddy.

Now, I’m back where he says I belong. In his bed, begging for mercy as he reminds me over and over again exactly who he is. Who I am.

But even as I surrender to his commanding ways, those sinister voices in my head keep reminding me I’m unworthy. That I don’t deserve him.
