China & the African Drought

The UN estimated there was up to 13.3 million people across the horn of Africa in need of emergency during the last months of 2011. Assistance was needed for Ethiopia (4.5 million), Kenya (3.75 million) and Somalia (4 million) plus an additional 150,000 people in Djibouti.
