Coastwalk North Carolina: Section 1 — SOHO

Coastwalk North Carolina chronicles the journey of coastal naturalists Cathy and Peter Meyer as they walk all of North Carolina’s barrier island beaches. The Meyers trek over 425 miles, starting at the South Carolina border and finishing at the Virginia border. Enjoy the story of their hikes, along with the observations and discoveries the authors make along the way. Essays accompany their account, inspired by this journey that brings the current state of the North Carolina coast to light. Coastwalk North Carolina is a four-part series. Each part covers one section of the North Carolina coast:

Section 3: Wild Banks — Cape Lookout to Hatteras Inlet
