Conspiring with Mr. Darcy

Forced to work together, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy lose their hearts to one another. But can they overcome their pride and their prejudice to find the felicity they both desire? 

The Bingleys have quit Netherfield for London, leaving Jane heartbroken. So when Mrs. Gardiner requests Jane's attendance, Elizabeth is certain Mr. Bingley will earn Jane's affections. When Jane sends for Elizabeth, she learns that her older sister has a suitor, but it is not the affable gentleman she'd expected. 

Mr. Darcy is adamant in his ways, but when he sees a less than suitable gentleman courting the woman his friend holds great affection for, he cannot stand idle. He enlists Miss Elizabeth Bennet's assistance, taking her into his confidence about the sordid past of the gentlemanseeking her sister's favor. It is his hope to prevent the Bennets from scandal, even if he believes them a difficult family. 

Thrown together in their attempts to ensure Jane and Charles' happiness, Elizabeth's heart opens to Darcy. Yet, when he confesses his part in Jane's past sorrow, she finds herself conflicted. How can she love someone who hurt her sister so terribly?
