Now she has to go to school.

Technically, Tessa is the student. Cass is merely her registered combat beast. 
Unfortunately, the war college keeps teaching classes about dangerous intelligent monsters, regional threats, roaming bosses, and exactly how many adventurers should be sent to kill something like Heartpiercer.

Cass is learning quite a lot.
