Ecce Homo

Ecce Homo: How One Becomes What One Is is a philosophical autobiography by Friedrich Nietzsche, first published in 1888. This work is one of Nietzsche's most personal, as it presents both a retrospective reflection on his own life and a declaration of his philosophical ideas. The title, "Ecce Homo," which translates to "Behold the Man," is a reference to the moment when Jesus Christ is presented to the crowd before his crucifixion, signaling that Nietzsche sees himself as a figure who has endured suffering and misjudgment in the pursuit of his unique vision.
