Back on her feet after a long road of surgery and rehab, Jennifer Garrett is ready to put the last two years behind her. After breaking more bones than she knew she had and losing the only life she'd ever known, she's returning to her first love, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in the hopes that it will help her heal, and find the person she lost... herself.

As the owner of the premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in the tri-state area, Matthew King is living his dream. He's always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, and now he is using his black belt to rehabilitate those in need of rebuilding, helping them find a path toward healing the way he did.

But when Jennifer's doctor refers her to the best BJJ gym around, she's reluctant to walk through that door. Not because it will be a lot of work. Not because she's afraid of how weak her body has become. But because she isn't sure she's ready to face the life she could have had, or the blue-eyed black belt waiting for her on the other side.
