South London, late summer, 1969. Amidst the bomb sites, derelict houses, and rundown council estates, Billy and his mates scheme to raise the money needed to become "top tastebud" skinheads. Their dream is to travel to Margate on August bank holiday Monday to strut their stuff with hundreds of fellow skinheads.
