Penny Peterson would rather stay at home and read books by a cozy fire. It's just her thing.

But now, it's her senior year at Harperson Lake High and she realizes she hasn't experienced much, but actually wants to. Queue in superstar snowboarder, Carter Rasmussen. He's an Olympic Snowboarder that grew up in Harperson Lake.

He's finally come back to Harperson Lake to finish out his senior year, and to take a break from his crazy snowboard star life. And that's how he ends up in a class with an old friend and an old crush.

Penny might've forgotten about Carter, but Carter never forgot Penny. And so, they go down the slopes of love, life and loss.
