Robert Carlson has been away from Diamond Springs since he was 15-years-old. Now grown up and a successful lawyer, he's headed back to the wild frontier town to represent a childhood friend from a murder charge. But he's forgotten how cruel and judgemental the frontier can be even when the facts don't add up to murder. A range war over water and grazing rights only add fuel to a flame that's already burning.
