Gallant Waif

Kate, a disgraced, penniless woman, works for Count Jack, the owner of a decrepit mansion. Jack was wounded during his time in war, and his former fiancée left him because of his injuries and the scar across his handsome face. He gradually regains his vitality under the care of cheerful Kate. And Kate starts to grow fond of the count, as well. However, she has wounds in her own past that she fears will affect Jack’s opinion of her.
