Nothing says happy holidays like a dead body covered in blood. And with a man kneeling over that body it seems like Christmas has come early for Detective Isaac Taylor – case closed. Only that man insists he's innocent, so now it's up to Ike and his partner to find the truth.

Sidney Taylor loves Christmas. And with newborn twins and an excited three-year-old, she expected this one to be amazing. But expectations don't always pan out, especially when constant sleep deprivation and a few burned Christmas cookies are in the mix.

When a puzzling case that's not even his own begins to hound him, Ike is frazzled. And the barely controlled chaos at home isn't helping. But as the holiday approaches, will Ike and Sid be able to enjoy it or will the mounting anxiety leave them both drowning in a jolly cup of hot chocolate?
