This book’s purpose is to give you a quick start and an inside track on using Multi-Touch books, both on iPads and on Macs. It is designed to make learning how to use these books easier and faster. It shows you the details of the interface and how to use them. This book is a much-needed guide to using Multi-Touch books.</p>

<p>Multi-Touch books can bring static content to life with innovative features. Yet, these features, the interactive elements, and the methods of navigation generally are not explained in the books themselves—and many readers find them to be not entirely intuitive. Simple explanations and clarification, such as are provided in this book, help readers to easily understand and interact with these books—in order to get the most out of them. </p>

<p>The authors of this book, Cheki Eklund and Kearney Buskirk, originally created it as a chapter in a photo-intensive, Multi-Touch book, so their readers could easily use its features. They then realized that many people could benefit from this clarification. They decided to expand the chapter and release it as a free book, for everyone who is using Multi-Touch books in the iBooks app, on iPads or Macs. </p>
