Jesus's Apostles: St.Peter The First Pope

Saint Peter, also known as Simon Peter, Simeon, Simon, Cephas, or Peter the Apostle. He was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, and one of the first leaders of the early Church. According to Christian tradition, Peter was crucified in Rome under Emperor Nero.

When Peter writes about the soul's salvation, his thought is not limited to life in heaven but is very much concerned with life on earth. For Peter, it is the goal of our faith.
