A framework I've used for years to help me acclimate to a new position is the one presented in this article. Using it, you can quickly hone in on the top priorities for your position and, if you follow the recommendations, you'll be one step closer to succeeding at your new job. Even if you've been in the job for a while, this framework can give you a new lens to view your organization and sharpen your priorities. The framework includes three sections, with the following goals:

People - strengthen your team while effectively meeting business need

Process - identify and improve your key processes

Product - deliver and maintain a superior product portfolio
