'The Elephant in the Room' is a touching story of a girl's discovery and acknowledgement of her autism; 'The Best of Everything' takes us on another uncomfortable journey this time into sexual identity - a theme echoed in the deceptively shocking 'Transit of Pluto.' 'Black Beauty' is not about a Horse but a Hearse! ... with a soul; and a dramatic destiny. There is drama of another kind in 'Deliverance' when Alice comes close to death and is rescued; but the ending is not happy. Neither is it in 'The Box', where a frustrated guest house owner tries to live her dream. 'Christmas Spirits' awakens two young children to unsuspected emotional and spiritual realities, and both 'The Midas Touch' and 'The Knife, the Helmet and the Cross' are full of echoes from history - the first as an old myth comes alive in the present day, the second as a radio interviewee recalls past lives and their impact on the present.
