My Exs Dad

He’s twenty-two years older than me.
He kills men for a living.
And he’s the father of the boy who broke my heart.

I left Luca Moretti with bruises on my wrist and a promise to never look back.

Then my father died. And left behind a debt worth two million dollars.

Now the debt is mine.

And the man who comes to collect isn’t Luca.

It’s his father.

Dante Moretti. The most feared man in Chicago. Cold gray eyes. Dangerous hands. A voice that makes my knees weak.

He gives me one rule.

“You belong to me until the debt is paid.”

He never said how I would pay.

One night. One mistake. One secret I take with me when I run.

But I’m not the only one keeping secrets.

There’s a locked room on the third floor of his house.

And what’s inside will change everything.

DANTE

She was my son’s girl once.

That should have stopped me.

It didn’t.

I watched her for two years. I waited. I made sure the only door left open led straight to me.

Then she ran. With my blood in her belly. And thought I would never find her.

I found her.

Now she’ll learn what happens when you steal from a Moretti.

You don’t get to leave.

And anyone who tries to take her from me?

Even my own son?

They’ll learn what kind of monster I really am.

She ran from the devil.
He tore the world apart to bring her home.
But the real danger was sitting at his table all along.
