Nearly two years after Moira Creswell (alias) fled justice, her rotted left foot jammed in her sneaker was discovered a thousand kilometers from her home. To the authorities, this evidence, albeit inconclusive, sufficiently rendered proof of death. To her victims who were cheated upwards of $30 million dollars, it did not, proving once again the guile and disingenuousness of the individual who'd befriended them: acquaintances, close friends, even family.

She was an equal opportunity embezzler.

Her victims wanted justice, punishment before a court of law. Most of all, they wanted their money back, which had been egregiously stolen. That moment of partial reckoning brought no closure, though it brought some satisfaction that Caddick, AKA Creswell, having escaped justice and vanished, did so minus one foot.
