No Backup

Calm has returned to Sandpiper. It's been almost a year since terror rained down on this beachfront community. Innocent people died and a killer was run to ground in a confrontation with Detective Brogan. He doesn't talk about it, but everybody else does. Brogan is anxious to return to the job of policing his very quiet tourist destination. Unfortunately, black clouds are gathering just outside his city limits.
The Tall Pines community is rocked by a triple fatal shooting. Different shooters different reasons, but only one crime scene. Further down the road, a playground full of laughing children hides a terrible secret that will soon shake the entire Eastern Shore.
Kelly Hart is a private investigator plying her trade in Worcester County. Her activities and desires soon extend into Brogan's territory. When these two driven crime fighters try to occupy the same space, sparks are bound to fly. Brogan will have his hands full as this story reveals itself. Somebody needs backup. Will it come in time?
