Problem Planet

After a spacewreck strands pilot Dave Camptain and Senator Clive Littlebrook on an apparently deserted world, survival quickly becomes a contest of ego, wit, and authority. Clive, never one to miss a chance for power, insists the planet should be governed like a state, with himself in charge and Dave reduced to labor, while Dave tries to keep both of them alive amid the absurdity. As they explore, they find water, game, and the ruins of an ancient city holding the traces of vanished wealth. Clive immediately imagines economics, money, and even a banking system, turning hardship into political fantasy. But the planet's true inhabitants soon upend their plans: an armed woman named Rosemary appears and claims the world for herself. Forced into a tense standoff, Dave, Clive, and Rosemary spar over ownership, legal authority, and survival, mixing frontier conflict with comedy, flirtation, and sharp political satire on the newly dubbed Problem Planet.
